Role overview
Our client is seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead their fundraising efforts and drive a new campaign aimed at enhancing patient care and promoting healthier communities.
As Director of Development, you will lead a dedicated team to build lasting relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners. The role involves guiding the fundraising team, including direct oversight of senior roles, while also managing your own portfolio of key international supporters. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing and executing the fundraising strategy, working closely with the board to plan a new campaign and expand major gift income.

Key facts:
Full-time, permanent role
Salary: £80,000 per annum.
Hybrid working, with approximately 1-2 days per week in the London office.
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- Demonstrated success in leading impactful fundraising initiatives
- Extensive experience in securing significant donations, including six-figure contributions from individuals, foundations, or corporate partners
- Expertise in influencing and negotiating with top-level executives, both within and outside the organization, with the ability to articulate compelling cases and make effective donation requests
- Proven ability to develop and evolve fundraising strategies, showcasing creativity, innovation, and familiarity with successful approaches used by similar organizations
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, with a history of building, nurturing, and maintaining strong relationships with major donors and prospective supporters
- Exceptional networking abilities to establish and maintain a broad base of philanthropic supporters
- Consistent success in team leadership, fostering a positive environment that drives team performance and engagement
- Strong decision-making capabilities, adept at navigating complex situations, strategic planning, and communicating effectively at all levels
