Context

The accreditation team is expanding due to the high interest in our client’s prestigious recognition of educational programs both domestically and internationally. The number of schools that seek accreditation from our client has risen from 20 to 50 in the last couple of years. Our client is extremely ambitious, and by adding another team member, they will be able to re-open international applications, with several schools already waiting to submit their applications in the new year. This role will offer the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of the accreditation process in the coming years, due to upcoming changes in the regulatory framework of the profession.

Next year, our client will be celebrating 100 years of accreditation, which will consist of events, lectures, and a reception to mark what is a huge historical occasion for the organisation.

In this role, you will be working alongside other two team members and will be looking after an average of 10 national universities/schools per year, on top of international schools seeking accreditation. The range of UK universities accredited by our client starts from traditional/ancient through to metropolitan through to Russel Group. The international schools/universities that are already accredited are based in various countries around the globe, including Argentina, China, Egypt, Peru, Sri Lanka, USA, etc.

You will have a high degree of autonomy and will be required to make judgements in complex and unpredictable circumstances all whilst working within budget. You will be responsible for the communication with relevant stakeholders throughout this entire accreditation evidence-based process.

This is an exciting and challenging role, that will suit you perfectly if you are familiar with the higher education and its complexities, are keen to work with a small team but also confident in working alone and nurturing key relationships with academic staff and educationalists.

The post holder needs to be willing to travel extensively both in the UK and domestically, alongside a panel of volunteers, to conduct accreditation visits to various schools and boards.
