Our client is a global professional membership body. They are currently undergoing a large transformation restructure to modernise the organisation.
The Role:
Head of Risk , Planning and Performance
Contract: Permanent / Full time
Location: Hybrid /London – 2 days a week in London office
Salary: £60,000 per annum plus benefits
The Role
As Head of Risk, Planning and Performance you will manage all aspects of risk and business continuity for the organisation, its employees, members, uphold its reputation and assets . Additionally, defining policies, procedures, frameworks, tools, techniques and their communication and support across the organisation. The Head of Risk, Planning and Performance will also work to facilitate strategic planning and performance management of the business through analysis, effective KPIs and relevant reporting all while working alongside the Finance team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Review and define a risk and compliance framework.
- Manage the relationship with RIBA’s internal auditors.
- Monitor activities to assess and report on how effectively each business area performs.
- Ensure systems and controls are in place and work closely with the Compliance team.
- Work with all business areas to develop mitigation strategies, define risk.
- Lead the implementation and development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy.
- Establish a framework and methodology.
- Manage the performance management process.
- Participate in budgeting and quarterly forecasts.
- Overall management, co-ordination and preparation of the annual business plan, capital expenditure, operating budget, and periodic revised forecasts.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships within the organisation.
The Successful Candidate:
- 5 years minimum experience of working in a risk and business continuity role.
- Experience of interacting with a regulator or other legislative body.
- Understanding of critical business risks relating to legislation and regulation.
- Experience of interacting with a regulator or other legislative body is desirable
Candidates must have evidence of:
- Significant experience of working with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication, engagement and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and business intelligence tools.
