Strategy Development Lead

 
The role
 

This critical role has the purpose of ensuring that the organisation’s model and value chain both align with their long-term strategy and fit for the future.

As a key part of the ongoing development and execution our client’s strategy, you will conduct strategic reviews with thorough analysis and offering actionable insights.

 

As part of this role, you will be responsible for:

-        Leading comprehensive strategic reviews which both evaluate our client’s strategy and address critical challenges.

-        Driving the analysis that supports the evolution of the organisation’s value chain and business model.

-        Design and lead strategic workshops for the Executive Board, and key cross-functional teams.

-        Facilitate a deep understanding of the organisation’s capability model, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

-        Guide and support the organisation’s approach to strategic execution.


Key facts


-        This is a full time, permanent contract

-        Starting salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 p.a. for candidates based in London and £56,000 - £75,000 p.a. for candidates based outside London

-        Benefit package includes flexible working and flexi leave, life insurance, income protection, group personal pension plan with up to 9% employer contribution, etc.

-        Primarily home based, with occasional travel to our client’s office.

 

The ideal candidate

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring extensive experience in developing organisational strategy and a strong ability to tackle key challenges head-on. You’ll be skilled at identifying opportunities and implementing strategies to capitalise on them, with a proven track record in both strategy development and execution. Your experience working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including the Executive Board, will be essential. You'll be influential in building your network within the organisation, collaborating with others to develop insights and recommend actionable opportunities that shape strategic decisions.


This role will suit you if you:

•             Have demonstrable experience in strategic thinking, strategy development and implementation, and business model evolution

•             Can make informed judgements based on facts/data and develop objective, well-balanced discussion points and recommendations

•             Can communicate analysis and recommendations clearly and succinctly, building compelling presentations with content tailored to the appropriate audience: able to story tell with creative visual designs and data

•             Have experience in designing and running workshops with cross-functional and senior teams, including Executive personnel

•             Have a solid understanding of integrated thinking principles.
