Salary:
London (within M25): £90,000 – £112,000 pa
Elsewhere in the UK: £80,000 – £100,000 pa
Location: Home-based, anywhere in the UK
Full-time, permanent role

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic public affairs leader to join the regional leadership team. This is a senior, high-visibility role responsible for shaping regional public affairs strategy, engaging with senior stakeholders, and enabling teams across a broad, multi-regional remit.
You will build and lead a network of high-impact relationships with governments, regulators, central banks, national and regional accountancy bodies, and international development organisations, acting as a key ambassador for the organisation and enhancing its profile, influence, and contribution to the profession and wider society.
Regional remit includes:
Europe (including EU institutions)
Central Asia
Middle East
North America
Ireland
This role requires someone who can navigate diverse cultural and regulatory environments, connect markets and teams, and apply strategic public affairs approaches to drive meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of regional public affairs strategies aligned with organisational priorities
  • Identify, prioritise, and optimise high-value relationships with key external stakeholders to maximise influence and impact
  • Act as the senior relationship manager for strategically significant public affairs partners
  • Enable and coach a distributed team of public affairs professionals across multiple regions, fostering collaboration and integration
  • Work collaboratively with global and regional colleagues to ensure initiatives are strategically aligned and effectively implemented
  • Represent the organisation externally, enhancing brand presence, credibility, and reputation


What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience in public affairs, professional services, consulting, or financial services, with exposure to government, regulatory, or accountancy sectors
  • Demonstrable experience operating across a broad international remit, with direct exposure to some or all of the following regions: Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, Americas.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and translate strategy into actionable, measurable plans
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience inspiring, enabling, and guiding distributed teams
  • Strong understanding of the accountancy profession, regulation, and policy environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills at senior levels
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to operate across complex, multi-region environments
